David
P. Wessel, AIC, FAPT
Principal, Senior Conservator
David
Wessel is an architectural conservator with a specialty
in the documentation and conservation of historic
building materials and architectural finishes. As
a principal of the firm, David directs conservation
projects and oversees the in-house conservation laboratory.
He is a professional Associate of the American Institute
for Conservation, and a Fellow of the Association
for Preservation Technology. For the past 15 years,
he has served as a project manager and conservator
in the diagnosis of material conditions and conservation
treatment development. His work has included conservation
of a wide range of materials, including wood, decoratively
painted plaster work, natural building stones, brickwork,
terra cotta, and concrete. He has served on the Board
of Directors of the Association for Preservation Technology
(APT) and is the past chair of the Architectural Specialty
Group of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC).
